Online reservations for Family Weekend 2012 are now closed!
Family Weekend, September 28-30, is a wonderful opportunity for you to visit your student, be informed about campus updates, and connect with other families and friends in the Carolina community.
The Family Weekend Reservation application closed at 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, September 20, 2012. As of 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, September 20, 2012, all new Family Weekend Reservations must be completed on-site at Family Weekend Check-In. If you have an existing reservation and wish to purchase additional tickets (depending upon ticket availability) or add additional guests, you must complete this on-site at Family Weekend Check-In.
Family Weekend Check-In is located in the FPG Student Union on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 5:00pm -9:00pm or Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 8:00am - 1:00pm.
All new, on-site reservations will incur a $25 late fee. For an additional $5 per ticket, families with existing reservations may add additional guests and tickets, depending upon availability.

Family Weekend highlights include:
- Annual Parents Association Meeting (Chancellor Holden Thorp will be in attendance to greet families and provide welcoming remarks and all participants will be presented a chance to win a semester of free, in-state tuition)
- Tar Heel BBQ Noon-2:00pm located in The Pit
- Tar Heel athletic events, including the September 29 football game when the Tar Heels will take on the University of Idaho Vandals at 3:30pm (Enjoy Family Weekend Special Priced $15 tickets)
- Seminar series, cultural performances, open houses, specialized tours and more!
